Red Notice 2 is the fun and action-packed sequel to the first Red Notice movie. It brings back the same main characters: Dwayne Johnson as FBI agent John Hartley, Ryan Reynolds as clever art thief Nolan Booth, and Gal Gadot as the mysterious and dangerous thief, The Bishop. This time, they go on another crazy adventure filled with action, comedy, and twists.

The Story

The movie starts shortly after the events of the first film. Hartley, Booth, and The Bishop are now working together, but not really trusting each other. They get involved in a new mission to steal a powerful and ancient treasure before a secret criminal group gets it first.

The story takes them to many places around the world, from Egypt to Italy, to South America. Each location has cool action scenes, secret puzzles, and fast-paced chases. Just like the first movie, it feels like a mix between a spy movie and a treasure hunt.

The Action

The action is big and exciting. There are car chases, fist fights, explosions, and even some wild stunts. Dwayne Johnson once again plays the tough and serious character, while Ryan Reynolds brings his usual humor and sarcasm. The mix of action and comedy works well and keeps the movie fun and fast.

There’s a big action scene in the middle of the movie involving a helicopter and a train that’s one of the highlights. It’s over-the-top but very entertaining.

The Characters

  • Dwayne Johnson (John Hartley) – Still strong and smart, but more flexible now that he’s no longer strictly “the good guy.”
  • Ryan Reynolds (Nolan Booth) – As funny and clever as ever. He steals many scenes with his jokes and charm.
  • Gal Gadot (The Bishop) – She’s smart, stylish, and dangerous. Her character is more mysterious in this one, and we learn more about her past.

The chemistry between the three leads is still strong. They argue, joke, and work together in a way that keeps the movie fun.

The Humor

Ryan Reynolds brings most of the laughs with his one-liners and funny reactions. Some jokes are silly, but many work well. The humor helps balance the heavy action scenes.

The Weak Parts

While the movie is fun, it does have some problems:

  • The story isn’t very deep or original. It’s another “race to find the treasure” plot.
  • Some parts are predictable, especially if you’ve seen a lot of action movies.
  • A few jokes feel repeated from the first film.

Final Thoughts

Red Notice 2 is not a movie to take too seriously. It’s meant to be a fun, fast, and flashy ride. If you liked the first one, you’ll enjoy this sequel. It has great action, beautiful locations, and lots of humor. Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds are a great team, and Gal Gadot adds elegance and mystery.

Rating: 7.5/10
A fun action-comedy with big stars, cool stunts, and lots of laughs, perfect for a popcorn movie night.
