1. National Identification Number (NIN)
You must have a valid 11-digit NIN issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).
Candidates cannot register for JAMB without NIN.
2. JAMB Profile Code
This is generated by sending your NIN via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from your phone. You’ll receive a 10-digit profile code to use during registration.
3. JAMB ePIN
You must buy an ePIN from:
- approved banks
- POS outlets
- online platforms like Remita or Quickteller
- accredited CBT centers
The ePIN is used to complete your registration.
4. O’Level / A’Level Results
Prepare your:
- O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or GCE)
→ You can register with Awaiting Results but must upload them later. - A’Level results if you’re a Direct Entry (DE) candidate.
5. Valid Phone Number & Email Address
You need both to:
- create your JAMB profile
- receive confirmation and updates
- verify your account.
6. Passport Photograph
Bring a recent passport photo to the accredited CBT center — it will be captured and used for your registration slip.
7. Personal Details
Have your:
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Home address
- Other personal information ready for filling into the portal.
8. Age Requirement
Most candidates must be at least 16 years old by the year of admission, although exceptions may exist for exceptionally brilliant younger candidates.
