Can love survive without deep friendship why or why not?

It depends on what you call Love. The kind of Love that God loved us first with can survive with or without deep friendship.

Infatuation dies when expectations are cut short.
Sexual Love dies when responsibilities come to bear.
Mutual Love and Respect will survive anything if affections are tamed but won't if affections lie elsewhere.
